HEAT Produced: Mario Chalmers Silenced the Thunder in Game 4

LeBron James dominated the second and third quarters to get the Miami HEAT the lead after a bad start, but Mario Chalmers dominated the fourth quarter to give his team a 3-1 lead in the NBA Finals

This article uses Estimated Wins Produced. Since an average team's winning percentage is 0.500, an average player produces 0.100 estimated wins per 48 minutes (est.WP48). A star player produces 0.200 est.WP48 and great players produce 0.300 est.WP48. See the HEAT Produced Page for more information on Estimated Wins Produced.

'Rio Got the Dagger Back

Only two HEAT players provided above average production in the 4th quarter of Game 4: Chalmers (0.650 est.WP48) and Udonis Haslem (0.516 est.WP48). Chalmers played the entire fourth quarter and 72% of his production for the game came from big plays in those 12 minutes.

HEAT Game 4 Summary
Most Productive Player: LeBron with 0.3 est. wins produced in 44.3 minutes (0.281 est.WP48) from 26 points, 53% shooting efficiency, 9 rebounds, 12 assists, 2 steals and 3 turnovers. Muscle cramps in his legs robbed him of a triple-double as he continued to dominate his matchup with Kevin Durant (0.070 est.WP48).

2nd Most Productive Player: Chalmers with 0.2 est. wins produced in 33.9 minutes (0.319 est.WP48) from 25 points, 70% shooting efficiency, 3 assists, 2 steals and 1 turnover. Rio's big 4th quarter and Norris Cole big 6 minutes across the end of the 1st quarter and beginning of the 2nd helped the HEAT produce 0.092 est. wins at PG compared to the Thunder's 0.108.

Least Productive Player: Shaved Monkey Nuts aka Shane Battier with -0.040 est. wins produced in 39.8 minutes (-0.049 est.WP48) from 4 points, 38% shooting efficiency, 5 rebounds and 4 fouls.

Thunder Game 4 Summary
Most Productive Player: Russell Westbrook with 0.3 est. wins produced in 45.5 minutes (0.309 est.WP48) from 43 points, 63% shooting efficiency, 7 rebounds, 5 assists, 1 steal and 3 turnovers. If it weren't for LeBron, Chalmers and Chris Bosh (0.211 est.WP48), Westbrook would've joined Wade and LeBron as the only players to murder a team on their own shit in the 2012 playoffs.

2nd Most Productive Player: Nick Collison with 0.2 est. wins produced in 17.3 minutes (0.440 est.WP48) from 6 points, 75% shooting efficiency, 4 rebounds, 1 assist, 1 block and 1 foul. The HEAT haven't been able to keep Collison off the glass the entire series unless Thunder head coach Scott Brooks keeps him on the bench. So far, that's worked out in the HEAT's favor.

Least Productive Player: James Harden with -0.1 est. wins produced in 36.8 minutes (-0.166 est.WP48) from 8 points, 20% shooting efficiency, 10 rebounds, 4 turnovers and 5 fouls. Harden picked up Durant's slack guarding LeBron and ended up in the same position - stuck with 5 fouls.
