Juwan Howard: Where Will He Rank Among NBA Rappers on Full Court Press Vol. 1?

Juwan Howard made news this month when it was announced that he recorded a rap record with Rick Ross and Trina for the album Full Court Press Vol. 1 that will feature NBA players and rap stars. Howard was an NBA champion on the court last season, but where will he rank among NBA players in the recording booth?

Outside of Shaquille O'Neal, most athletes have unsuccessful music careers. Why is that? Because they're much better at being athletes than recording artists.

I assume Full Court Press Vol.1 will be wack as hell. This project Howard's involved in seems to have noble intentions, but professional recording artists really need to stop taking the money athletes pay to humiliate themselves.

Will Juwan Howard turn out to be a better rapper than his Fab Five teammate, Chris Webber? C.Webb's 1999 release, 2 Much Drama, featured a song at #10 on Billboard's Hot Rap Singles chart but it seems like it didn't even go double wood and the track "Feel My Vibe" was wack as hell. Will Full Court Press Vol.1 do better than that?

Which player will have the wackest verse on the album? According to Jocks & Stilletto Jill, Full Court Press Vol.1 will feature 14 NBA players, including: Stephen Jackson, Juwan Howard, Baron Davis, Trevor Ariza, Lamar Odom, Carlos Boozer, Glen Davis, Shawn Marion and Josh Smith. You can see clips of their raps in the video below.

Juwan Howard, Big Baby and Odom (he sounded like Biggie a lil' bit) turned in the biggest surprise performances to me, and it's clear that Shawn Marion, Josh Smith and Carlos Boozer* are the early leaders for "Wackest Verse of the Album." What do you think?

According to Huffington Post, Juwan Howard's single will be released October 30th and Full Court Press Vol.1 is planned for release during 2013 All-Star Weekend.
