Chris Bosh: Will He Get His Mind Right for the Knicks?

There's a big difference in Chris Bosh's play before and after Lil' Wayne announced he fucked his wife at a party during NBA All-Star Weekend. Will Bosh be able to put that shit behind him to be successful against Tyson Chandler and the Knicks on Sunday?

The spreadsheet below shows Bosh's production before and after the all-star break using Win Score per 48 minutes (WS48), a number that summarizes player production and can be used to measure their estimated wins produced. See the HEAT Produced Page for more information.

Bosh was producing a 9.2 WS48 for the season until the end of January. There was a slight increase in February before the all-star break, but since Lil' Wayne put his wife on blast Bosh's production has decreased by 79%.

Bosh was dominated by Chandler in the first 2 games against the Knicks this season. Chandler and the Knicks rank 4th in opposing centers WS48 this season after ranking 1st last season. The Grizzlies rank 1st this season and Bosh struggled against them Friday night with just -0.5 WS48.

A productive game from Bosh would've made it easier to beat the Grizzlies and the same logic applies to the Knicks. The HEAT have beaten the Knicks when Chandler outplayed Bosh, but it would seem to make it easier if Bosh was productive.

The spreadsheet below lists the WS48 produced by Bosh and Chandler in head-to-head matchups between the HEAT and Knicks.
