HEAT Produced: Making Summer League History

The Miami HEAT went from a disgusting debut to a historic encore in their first two games at the Las Vegas Summer League.

Let's stake a look at the numbers behind the first two days of the HEAT summer league team.

This article uses Estimated Wins Produced, a statistic created by sports economist David Berri. Since an average team's winning percentage is 0.500, an average player produces 0.100 est. wins per 40 minutes (est.WP40). A star player produces 0.200 est.WP40 and great players produce 0.300 est.WP40. See the HEAT Produced Page for more information on Est. Wins Produced.

Most Productive Players
Terrel Harris was the most productive HEAT player in the team's terrible summer league debut with an est. 0.4 wins produced in 25.7 minutes (0.544 est.WP40) from 14 points, 38% shooting efficiency, 3 rebounds, 3 assists, 4 steals, 0 turnovers and 4 fouls. The HEAT defeated the Raptors 71-59 and neither team shot better than 35% from the floor.

Norris Cole was the most productive HEAT player in the historic second summer league game with an est. 0.5 wins produced in 24.6 minutes (0.770 est.WP40) from 13 points, 75% shooting efficiency, 7-7 from the FT line, 2 rebounds, 9 assists, 1 steal and 1 turnover.
