HEAT Produced: 2011 Celtics Retrospective

A look back at the numbers and stories for the Boston Celtics and Miami HEAT rivalry in 2011 to prepare for their first meeting of the 2012 NBA season.
The Wins Produced statistical model is used for this article. An average player produces an estimated 0.100 wins per 48 minutes, star players produce +0.200 Est.WP48 and great players produce +0.300 Est.WP48. See the HEAT Produced Page for more information.

Here's a list of the main stories published on this blog about the HEAT and Celtics last season:

This spreadsheet lists the ten most productive performances by HEAT players against the Celtics last season. A few notes:
  • Chris Bosh had the most productive game against the Celtics last season in Game 2 of the ECS.
  • Mario Chalmers had the second-most productive game against the Celtics in a Game 3 loss.
  • Dwyane Wade's performance in Game 5, when he carried the HEAT in the first half, was the third-best game against the Celtics last season.
  • Udonis Haslem had the fourth-most productive game against the Celtics on Veterans Day when he called Paul Pierce a "studio gangster".
  • James Jones' three-point barrage in Game 1 of the ECS was the fifth-best HEAT game against the Celtics.
  • LeBron James tied Chris Bosh with three appearances on the Top 10 list, but he didn't crack the Top 5.

This spreadsheet summarizes the production of each HEAT and Celtics player from the nine games they played last season. Believe it or not, Joel Anthony was the third-most productive HEAT player vs. the Celtics last season after LeBron and Bosh.
