2014 NBA Finals Pick: HEAT Sweep

There's only one path to glory for Dwyane Wade, LeBron James and Chris Bosh in the 2014 NBA Finals.

HEAT vs. Spurs

Prediction: HEAT in 4

Explanation: The numbers say HEAT in 6 but I want to root for HEAT in 4 so that's my pick. The only things that prevented the HEAT from sweeping the Spurs out the fucking playoffs and out of this era last year were LeBron's mind and Wade's body. Tim Grover said Wade's body is tremendous shape and if LeBron didn't learn a lesson about how to attack the Spurs defense from last year's Finals then he isn't the all-time great we all think. I can make the argument that Bosh was the most productive HEAT player through the first 5 games of the 2013 Finals until he sacrificed himself on defense in games 6 and 7. So I expect Bosh to battle Tim Duncan to the point he gets some Finals MVP talk after 1 or 2 games. The other key to the sweep is Mario Chalmers. He must play well enough to keep Norris Cole on the bench. 'Rio was up and down in last year's Finals - great in Games 2 and 6, bad in Game 7. If 'Rio is on his game and Ray Allen's knocking down threes, then the HEAT will win the backcourt battle and dominate the Spurs with broom in hand.

Domination is the only path to glory for the HEAT in this series. Let's see if they can walk it.
