2013 NBA Finals: Game 2 Adjustments

Miami HEAT's key adjustments on offense for Game 2 include:
  • Chris Bosh finishing off the pick-and-roll in the paint and getting some baseline cuts like the Birdman
  • More opportunities in transition for LeBron James
  • Replacing the isolation offense Dwyane Wade can't provide with his knee injury

On defense, the key adjustments for the HEAT include:

In addition to adjustments that improve areas of weakness in Game 1, the HEAT may also need to have counters ready to sustain what they did well if the Spurs make adjustments in Game 2. The HEAT need to keep getting the good looks Bosh and Mario Chalmers got off spot ups, keep getting Ray Allen opportunities off screens and sustain (if not increase) LeBron and Wade's touches in the post.

On defense, the HEAT need to sustain their solid defense against Duncan and Tony Parker in the pick-and-roll, keep limiting the Spurs in transition and continue shutting down the cutters.
